Summary and storyline
The 100 is a smash hit and critically acclaimed American post-apocalyptic, sci-fi drama and thriller television series from the production companies Alloy Entertainment, CBS Television Studios and Warner Bros. Television, which is at the moment broadcasting its third season on the CW network in the United States. Exec produced by Jason Rothenberg, Leslie Morgenstein, Gina Girolamo and Elizabeth Craft, the hit sci-fi series first came out in the US on March 19, 2014 and after capturing the hearts and minds of millions of Americans, the immensely popular series was later released in Australia, United Kingdom and New Zealand.
This post-apocalyptic drama series tells a story about one hundred young offenders, who were sent to a lifeless Earth, where almost a hundred years ago a nuclear Armageddon had taken place. A highly anticipated season 3 of The 100 premiered in the US on the CW channel on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at 9pm ET/PT and as of now it is expected to include sixteen one-hour episodes. After having to survive battle against Mount Weather and struggling to adjust to their new state of normalcy, the refugees will have to find moral and physical strength to begin a new fight – the fight for the human race. In a rare feat, the reviews of the current chapter of the post-apocalyptic drama are even better than last year’s. After just three episodes, the sci-fi series is delivering a 10% increase in ratings when compared to the previous season, currently averaging 1.7 million viewers per episode.
