Basic info and summary
A hit reality and survival show with a twist, Naked and Afraid has been airing on the Discovery Channel since June 23, 2013. Produced by Renegade 83 Entertainment, the show recently wrapped up its fifth season, which premiered on October 4, 2015. It has also spawed two spin-offs — Naked Confessions and Naked and Afraid XL, which premiered on July 12, 2015. Discovery recently renewed Naked and Afraid for season 6 which is slated to air March 13, 2016.
The program follows a pair of survivalists who test their limits, living in isolated remote locations and under extreme weather conditions for 21 days. Unlike other popular reality survival shows, the participants are naked at all times. Facing danger and their own fears as they fight off dangerous animals, hunt for food and search for fresh water, all while trying to stay alive in the unforgiving elements. For their journey, each participant is allowed to bring one useful object, and are allowed to drop out of the challenge at any time.
