Basic info and cast
NCIS: Los Angeles is an American police procedural and crime drama television series that is currently airing its seventh season on the CBS channel in the United States. The crime drama is executive produced by Frank Military, John Peter Kousakis and R. Scott Gemmill. The debut chapter of the police drama was released in the US on September 22, 2009.
The series tells of the whole complexity of working undercover. One of the divisions of the secret project follows the most dangerous criminals who threaten peace and security throughout the country. Using forged documents and modern technology, a group of experts is working under the cover to reach the desired goal and they are ready for anything to serve their country, even death. Special Agent G. (Chris O'Donnell) can transform into any character to penetrate a gang. His colleague, Special Agent Sam Hanna (LL Cool J), a former Marine and participant of the Afghan and Iraq war, uses modern technological advances to help field agents. Psychologist Nate Getz (Peter Cambor) works on creating psychological portraits of criminals, and monitors the status of employees. All are willing to help each other as they are confidently working on achieving their goals.
Critical response and renewal hopes
Season 7 of NCIS: Los Angeles debuted on the CBS channel on Monday, September 21, 2015 at 10pm ET/PT and it is set to consist of 24 one-hour episodes. In the previous chapter, the show saw a 34% decline in the ratings as compared to chapter five. However, with an average rating of 9.32 million total viewers per episode, this action-packed police drama still ranked as the network’s fifth highest-rated drama show last year. Just a few episodes into the current run, and the show is currently averaging 7.8 million viewers per episode. We wonder if it’s going to be good enough for CBS to renew it for another cycle.
