UPDATED December 22, 2015: CBS’s highly-rated tech drama series has left for a Christmas break after airing its twelfth episode on December 14, 2015. The sophomore drama series is scheduled to continue its current season on CBS on January 4, 2016. Although the show is delivering a smaller viewership this run, with a 12% decline in the ratings, it still remains one of the top-rated shows on the network with an average rating of more than 9.5 million viewers, so more than likely there will be another chapter in this story.
UPDATED March 26, 2016: This spring the major networks are taking pressure off creative teams by renewing their ongoing series early and in bulk quantities. Following ABC and The CW networks, CBS has made the most recent announcement renewing eleven of its ongoing shows at once for the next TV season. Scorpion is among the lucky series, greenlit for a third season in light of its success in the sophomore installment. The criminal drama series currently attracts almost 10 million viewers per episode, a number that warrants a renewal hands down. Please stay tuned for information on the release date of the next exciting season of Scorpion.
