Basic info and cast

The Last Alaskans is a new American rea-life and documentary adventure television program that is shown on the Animal Planet channel in the United States. The new series is produced by Half Yard Productions with Jared McGilliard as the showrunner. The program was developed by Kurt Tondorf who works for the network. The new docuseries first came out in the US on May 25, 2015.

The new program chronicles the lives of four families living in isolation in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. Four groups are featured in the debut chapter of the show: a single man in his 60's, a couple of around the same age, a couple of about 30, and a family of 5 with 3 daughters in their 20s. This show really makes you understand how these families work and live in one of the harshest environments on Earth and what these guys have to do on a daily basis to survive in seclusion and in difficult arctic conditions.
