About the show

Mock the Week is a British celebrity panel television game series that is currently airing on the BBC Two channel in the United Kingdom. The game show was created by Dan Patterson and Mark Leveson (the people behind the game show Whose Line Is It Anyway?) who also serve as executive producers on the show alongside Ewan Phillips and Ruth Wallace. It is produced by BBC Television by Angst Productions. Series 1 of Mock the Week premiered on BBC Two on June 5, 2015. The game show is currently in its fourteenth series.

Mock the Week is a political comedy improv show which features teams of comedians improvising sketches about current political events in a humorous and typically satirical manner. The show is hosted by Dara Ó Briain and on the panel are two teams of three. The current panel consists of Hugh Dennis and two guest panelists seated on Ó Briain's right, and Andy Parsons and two guest panelists on his left.

Series 14 of Mock the Week premiered on the BBC Two channel in the UK on June 11, 2015. The first episode of the game show featured guests James Acaster, Matt Forde, Katherine Ryan and Josh Widdicombe. Old episodes of Mock the Week air on the Dave channel. The game show has been quite popular since its debut in 2005. At the moment the viewership is averaging 3.5 million viewers per episode, so there is very little doubt that the show will not get picked up for another series.
