About the show

UnREAL is a new American comedy and drama television series that is currently airing on the Lifetime channel in the United States. UnREAL was created by Marti Noxon (Girlfriends Guide to Divorce, Mad Men, Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and Sarah Gertrude Shapiro. It was inspired by Shapiro’s 2013 SXSW award-winning independent short film Sequin Raze. The new series is produced by A+E Studios and executive produced by Marti Noxon, Robert M. Sertner, Sarah Gertrude Shapiro, Bill Davenport and Sally DeSipio. Season 1 of UnREAL premiered on Lifetime on June 1, 2015.

The storyline of UnREAL revolves around the behind-the-scenes drama and chaos surrounding the production of a dating competition program Everlasting. It stars Shiri Appleby (Girls) and Constance Zimmer (House of Cards, Entourage). The cast also includes Craig Bierko (Damages), Josh Kelly (One Life to Live), Siobhan Williams (Black Box), Freddie Stroma (Pitch Perfect), Nathalie Kelley (The Fast and the Furious), Johanna Braddy, Breeda Wool, Ashley Scott, and Arielle Kebbel (The Vampire Diaries).

Season 1 of UnREAL was released on the Lifetime channel in the United States on June 1, 2015 and for now it is set to consist of five episodes. UPDATED July 7, 2015: Yesterday Lifetime officially renewed UnReal for a second season. The network has ordered 10 episodes of its scripted drama series slated to air sometime next year. Even though UnReal debuted with low ratings – the premiere episode drew only 0.8 million total viewers – the first three episodes are averaging more than 4.8 million views across all available platforms. UPDATED April 1, 2016: Get ready for another dose of behind-the-scenes reality television when the Lifetime network’s hit new drama series UnREAL comes back on the small screen this summer. The network has just revealed that a 10-episode second season of the critically acclaimed show is scheduled to premiere on Monday, June 6, 2016 at 10pm ET/PT, right after the season premiere of Devious Maids at 9pm. Shiri Appleby and Constance Zimmer will be back to reprise their lead roles. Absolutely glued to my TV when this show comes on. The writers are brilliant as are the actors. The actors make it look so convincing, and are extremely talented. You know when it looks easy or convincing, it's hard to do. So yes, the actors are definitely Ultra good!

I absolutely love this show, I don't watch the "unreal batchelor" as I call it, this is much more enjoyable and seems to be more like the way the actual show is, Love the characters in it the show they are so intense, can't wait for it to return in june. :lol:
