About the show

America’s Got Talent is an American hit reality-competition television series that is currently airing on the NBC channel in the United States. The competition series is a talent show that features singers, dancers, magicians, comedians, and all kinds of other performers of various ages competing for the grand prize of 1 million dollars. America’s Got Talent is part of the global British Got Talent franchise. America’s Got Talent is co-produced by FremantleMedia North America and Syco Entertainment, and executive produced by Simon Cowell, Sam Donnelly, Jason Raff, Trish Kinane and Richard Wallace. Season 1 of America’s Got Talent premiered on NBC in the US on June 21, 2006. The show is currently in its 10 season.

Season 10 of America’s Got Talent debuted on the NBC channel on May 26, 2015. To celebrate its 10th anniversary season, the producers introduced features and surprises to the show, which include an enhanced Golden Buzzer, bigger and more extreme acts, new elements in the boot camp round of auditions and a two-hour series retrospective. Golden Buzzer will send an act from the audition stage directly to the live performance shows at Radio City Music Hall. Each judge can hit the Golden Buzzer only once for an act they think has what it takes to win America’s vote. The show has been a smash hit not only in the US, but all over the world: there are 67 original versions across the world and it airs in 193 territories globally. There is no doubt that it will get renewed for another season, but let’s wait for an official announcement.
