Ambitions and crazy drive, speed, high temperatures, fire, challenging yourself and others... This is the biggest culinary competition in history! Intense cooking thriller, in which the fight for the apron unfolds – the apron of Super Chef Australia! After the qualifying round, the top 50 Australian culinary enthusiasts of all ages and professions travel to Sydney, where they are repeatedly tested – from the simple ability to use a knife to confusing and complicated culinary tasks. Only 20 would go to the finals. Only one would get an apron and a hundred thousand dollar grand prize!

Ratings, reviews and possible renewal

Season 7 of MasterChef Australia debuted on Network Ten on May 5, 2015. Although the ratings of the most recent cycles of the show were not as high as for cycles 1 through 3, they have been able to maintain at around 1 million viewers per episode, on average. The cooking competition series is still very popular amongst many viewers who have praised the balance of entertainment, skill and overall presentation which is more fun-loving in its Australian attitude in comparison with the original British format. There is a very good chance that the show will get renewed for another run.
