Summary and storyline
Whose Line is it Anyway? is a long-running American improvisational comedy TV program that is currently airing its eleventh season on the CW channel. The show was developed by Dan Patterson (Room 101, Mock the Week). For the first time the program came out in 1988 on radio BBC 4, and at first it was attended not by professional improvisers, but just funny and talented comedians such like Stephen Fry, Hugh Laurie and others. From 1998 WLIIA? was aired in the United States hosted by the former stand-up comedian Drew Carrey. The show lasted for 7 years and 220 episodes were broadcast. Permanent participants were Wayne Brady, Colin and Ryan Stiles Makori. The fourth participant is always changing, usually it was an improviser. The show was later revived in 2013, hosted by Aisha Tyler and airing on The CW, with the first episode of the revival airing on July 16, 2013.
Whose Line is it Anyway? is an improvised comedy with four actors who play out various situations, songs and events. Topics for the sketches are offered by the audience or the host. The presenter also sets up the game and the situation and the participants of the program have to improvise.
