Latest developments

UPDATED July 16, 2015: Despite the rumors that the series might get canceled, AMC has officially renewed their historical drama Turn: Washington’s Spies for season 3. The news came as a bit of surprise considering the fact that season two ratings were down about 45% when compared to those of the first season. Still, a second season averaged 1.6 million total viewers per episode. Season 3 of Turn: Washington’s Spies will consist of 10 episodes which will premiere sometime in 2016.

UPDATED January 10, 2016: Despite a very significant drop in the ratings in the previous chapter of AMC’s historical drama show, the network still decided to give the series another chance and renewed it last summer for a third run. Finally, the release date for new episodes has been revealed: a third season of TURN is expected to hit the small screen in the United States on Monday, April 25, 2016 at 10pm ET/PT. The network has not, unfortunately, unveiled any additional details with regards to the possible new cast members or the new storyline. This is a very rivetting series which I came upon by chance after another American period series about Independence. The first season was sensational and I am looking forward to buying the second and the third season when it becomes available.
A very clever take by using the Spying theme to approach the American War of Independence.
Well done. Keep it coming!
