Top Gear is a British television series about automobiles that airs on the BBC channel. Top Gear is the most widely watched factual television program in the world. It is estimated that each episode of the show is watched by around 350 million people in 170 countries around the world. The version of the show that we watch today premiered in 2002, and it was based on a conventional motoring magazine program that had been airing since 1977. The current version of the series over time has developed a quirky, humorous and sometimes controversial style. The series has received acclaim for its visual style and presentation, and criticism for its content and often politically incorrect commentary made by its presenters. Season 1 of Top Gear premiered on the BBC channel on October 20, 2002.

Until recently (due to some unfortunate turn of events, season 22 of Top Gear has been cancelled; see more below) the show was presented by Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May, and has featured at least three different test drivers known as "The Stig".

Season 22 of Top Gear premiered over Christmas in 2014 with a two-part Patagonia special episode. The rest of the episodes of series 22 of Top Gear started airing from January 25, 2015 but, to the dismay of millions of fans all over the world, broadcast of episode 8 and the following episodes has been delayed as host Jeremy Clarkson was suspended by the BBC on 10 March 2015 ; the continuing status of the show has not yet been announced. Allegedly, Jeremy Clarkson punched one of the producers of the series. Additionally, the BBC has refused to say whether Top Gear will return for Series 23 or in any other form.

I just watched the new season... NO, NO, NO! Worst mistake ever. They tried to hard to fit the presenters in but they just can't. The whole concept of the show is based on the trio. Show is forever dead.

Firing trio was a biggest mistake and BBC will learn it hard way. And once trio release new program with Amazon then they will realize you just don't end something close to a legend like this.
